Maintaining personal wellness, finances, and family life in a demanding medical specialty can be a challenge, however, Dr. Ki Park, an interventional cardiologist and UFCOM graduate, dispelled some of the myths about work/life balance for women in medicine at this lunch meeting. One of the most important pieces of information she provided us was a report about the compensation of female physicians, which disclosed compensation, hours worked, minutes spent with patients, and satisfaction with career and specialty. We look forward to partnering with Dr. Park in the future. For more about AMWA at UF, please contact Madi Turcotte (mturcotte@ufl.edu) or Emily Welch (welchem@ufl.edu).
