  • ii.      Welcome, it’s a new year, and also one of restructuring for the organization.  Please let us know how we can serve you best.  It is our aim to help you continue to carry out old programs, and to help you turn your ideas into new programs.  If you have programming ideas for your group or MCC, please let myself or Beryl know.
  • iii.      I’m sure Sherita’s addressed this, but I want you all to realize that she’s the messenger for the things we decide as a board.  BE NICE TO HER!   I’m sure that some of you are disappointed with your budgets, but if you work well with what you have, we’ll be more willing to give you more to work with.  On the other hand, those of you with larger budgets, please be aware that if funds are not made use of, they will be subject to reallocation.  We want to make this as fair as possible for everyone and make the best use of our limited resources by funding groups based on merit.
  • iv.      Please keep this merit-based philosophy in mind as you make special requests, especially for travel.  The board will be more amenable to requests from groups that have placed eligibility requirements on travelers.  As always if you have any questions, feel free to contact me at svinson@ufl.edu.
