Purpose of Trip: The purpose of this trip is for medical students to be able to attend the Regional Medical Students for Choice meeting. This trip will benefit UF students because this conference represents the only opportunity for medical students at the University of Florida to be educated on reproductive health topics that are missing from our curriculum. The meeting includes educational lectures from some of the country’s experts on reproductive health, hands-on training sessions, and patient counseling workshops. Importantly it will also allow students the ability to network with other students around the country about the current state of abortion and contraception education on campus and to gain strategies to impact the content of medical education on our own campus. This opportunity is unlike any offered locally or directly by the University of Florida College of Medicine and will represent a tremendous hands-on learning experience.
