What is the Purpose of the Event? APAMSA is currently working with Dr. David Wood and the UFCOM Office of International Education to set up 3rd and 4th year away rotations in medical schools in Chengdu, Hong Kong, or possibly Beijing. Connections have already been established in the Chengdu and Hong Kong locations, and the goal is the roll the project out as soon as this year. However, Dr. Wood has expressed a desire to get more feedback from students about the potential program. The purpose of this event is to be an information exchange where current students can learn about available opportunities in China, and the Office of International Education can gather feedback about what students would like included such opportunities.
What is the Benefit to the State, the university, and/or your organization? With the establishment of away rotations in China, the UFCOM chapter of APAMSA aims to further the relationship between the University of Florida and Chinese universities and foster cultural exchange. This event will be a step in making it all possible.
