What is the Purpose of the Event? Since its creation in 2005, White Coat Company has been putting on plays for children on the pediatrics floors of the hospitals, local libraries and in schools around the Gainesville area. The
White Coat Company hopes to offer some distraction and joy to children in the hospital for treatment. It also allows for a creative outlet of expression for medical students.
What is the Benefit to the State, the university, and/or your organization? One of the major benefits of the White Coat Company is bring a smile to the faces of children undergoing treatment at Shands. It is also one of the larger events that the Medical School puts on for the Gainesville community. It also allows medical students a creative outlet.
