The American Medical Student Association (AMSA) at UF had its first meeting of the year on Monday, October 1st. The the goals and benefits of AMSA were discussed, including the annual AMSA National Convention at Washington DC in March, 2013 and some global health opportunities such as summer research abroad and clinical rotations.
Our guest speakers were both of our faculty advisors, Dr Hatch and Dr Hardt who talked about their experiences in AMSA and why they think AMSA is an organization worth joining.
