What is the Purpose of the Event? With this event, UF AMA-MSS hopes to end an incredible year with a bang. Florida Surgeon General, Dr. John Armstrong will join us to share his perspective on leadership in medicine and his journey to surgeon general. After these words from Dr. Armstrong and a short presentation by AMA-MSS officers, we hope all attendees will join us in the Founders Galley for a wine and cheese reception. Students will have a chance to mingle with Dr. Armstrong and other faculty and administrators in attendance.
What is the Benefit to the State, the university, and/or your organization? This event offers an incredible experience for students and faculty to hear from and interact with Florida’s Surgeon General. His visit to campus is a great honor and will allow us to show off the caliber of student, teacher, and facility that our university has to offer. We hope that Dr. Armstrong inspires students to invest in themselves and in each other so that UF continues to graduate leaders and role models in the field.
