Purpose of Trip: This the annual meeting of the national association of EMS physicians.
This is an opportunity for up to 4 medical students to participate in an emergency medicine conference with a focus on EMS providers. The UF department of EM works closely with alachua county fire rescue and ShandsCair and we would like to take the opportunity to expose students to this side of emergency medicine. Additionally, many of the MSRP projects and other research interests of the EM department focus on the link between prehospital providers and the emergency department itself.
This is a very interesting national conference that covers many pertinent issues in emergency medicine and is located within reasonable proximity of UF.
