What is the Purpose of the Event? To have a guest speaker, who is an expert in the field of nutrition at the University of Florida, give us a high yield review session on the USMLE board exam. It will span two hours and cover all nutrition topics covered on the board exam.
What is the Benefit to the State, the university, and/or your organization? Benefits for our organization would be to accomplish our mission which is to provide resources to future doctors to grasp the topic of nutrition and apply it to future practice. Benefit to our university would be to provide an extra opportunity for all of our medical students to pass the USMLE Step 1 board exam. Benefits to the state would be to have more competent doctors who understand the signs of malnutrition and other manifestations of nutritional status.

We applied to Dr. Fantone’s office for a supplement to help fund this meeting but unfortunately were turned down. We also applied to a catering scholarship through SG but because this is an event for medical students, they couldn’t cater this meeting for us. It would mean so much to us if you guys could help us out!
