NIM IG hosted its first lunch meeting on 12/5. Dr. David Weinstein gave a wonderful presentation on Glycogen Storage Diseases. He is the Glycogen Storage Disease program director at UF, and shared some exciting developments about the new management of his patients. Dr. Weinstein shared part of his personal journey in pursuing a field that is rare and under researched. At the end of the lecture, he encouraged first and second year medical students to always retain their idealism about helping people and to always remember why we chose medicine.
