Event held by UF COM Office of Development, Alumni Affairs, and MCC – on 02/22/2018:
Dr. Brigety is the first African-American graduate from UF College of Medicine, and he shared his story along with the stories of those trailblazers who came before him. Dr. Brigety was named a 2015 Trailblazer by the Mayor of Jacksonville for being a pioner in his profession. He completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology in Jacksonville, and delivered nearly 2,000 babies during his years of practice.
