An Accidental Traveler: My Trip From Basic Biochemistry to Gene Therapy for Blindness with Dr. Lewin and APSA

Alfred Lewin, PhD from the UF Department of Molecular Genetics and Microbiology and co-director of the MD/PhD program spoke at our spring semester meeting regarding his journey and a few of the lessons he has learned along the way, and gave us some background on his research involving gene therapy for macular degeneration using adeno-associated virus as a vector.
