Event held by ONCIG – Oncology Interest Group on 05/22/2018:
During this meeting students gathered to hear the perspective and journey of Dr. Jose Trevino, co-founder of the Florida Pancreas Collaborative, and leader in the field of oncological surgery and research. Dr. Trevino lead an exciting and inspiring discussion on how to navigate through the pre-clinical and the clinical years in order to become a successful competitor for residency programs. He highlighted the main reasons he ultimately decided to become a surgeon and emphasized the importance of being passionate about medicine and taking care of patients.
