What is the Purpose of the Event? GSO tailgates provide an opportunity for graduate students in the biomedical science program to interact outside of the laboratory setting, providing a break from the long hours spent on coursework and research projects. GSO tailgates also help establish an identity among the graduate students in the biomedical sciences program.
What is the Benefit to the State, the university, and/or your organization? GSO tailgates provide a fun, simple platform for graduate students to socialize with other students they would not otherwise come in contact with. Considering the grueling hours and pressure to produce data that graduate students face, tailgates are a great way to relieve stress and take a break from course and lab work.
