What is the Purpose of the Event? Bike Rehab is one of our regular service events in which members are taught how to repair old bikes at the Freewheel Project. The bikes repaired at these events are given away to children in an underprivileged neighborhood at the annual Bike Giveaway event in the spring.
What is the Benefit to the State, the university, and/or your organization? The bikes repaired at Bike Rehab are donated to a disadvantaged population in Gainesville. They provide a mechanism of transport as well as physical activity to the recipients.
