Event held by USIG – Ultrasound Interest Group on 01/24/2019:
This event was an introduction to ultrasound and all of its functions, buttons, and knobs, hence the name “Knobology”. Following a brief introductory overview by our ED attending Dr. DePortu, first year students split into 3 groups and were able to get hands on experience using US machines to scan and observe subjects’ hearts, kidneys, arm arteries and veins, and even eyes.
