Event held by PathIG – Pathology Interest Group on 08/28/2019:
The event was attended by about 25 medical students with an even mix of MS1 and MS2s. We had several faculty pathologists attend from various specialties, including the department chair and dean of students, spanning from anatomic pathology, clinical pathology and research. The faculty each spoke about their interests, their day to day activity and where their career has taken them. The meeting was concluded by taking questions from the audience regarding daily workflow, the trajectory of pathology in the future and the future of molecular and genetic testing.
