Event held by OSIG – Orthopedic Surgery Interest Group on 09/23/2019:
UFCOM students were given the chance to watch a small presentation on pediatric forearm fractures and casting techniques given by Orthopeadic Surgery Residents at OSMI. Students were then able to practice their skills setting short arm casts on each other with the supervision of the residents. This included the entire process from sizing up materials and shaping the cast, to removal with the casting saw.
