What is the Purpose of the Event? To highlight the accomplishments of the first-year (2019) students in the Biomedical Science PhD program. As we venture out into different concentrations it is important to stay connected and network together. Therefore, this event serves the purpose of keeping the entering class together and promoting bonds and future collaborations among peers. Furthermore, this events serves the purpose to remind the class that they are not alone and there is a support system behind them.

What is the Benefit to the State, the university, and/or your organization? This event can allow students to debrief from the daily stresses of balancing school and lab work making them more efficient at both. This could result in more sufficient student/work life ratio ultimately costing the school and state less money for potential burnout expenditure.

Reitz Union Bowling Ring Cost: The event will take place at the Reitz Union and we are asking help with the cost of the venue. The members will take care of the cost of other needs such as food… approx 120 for number of attendees
