Event held by AIG – Anesthesiology Interest Group on 04/29/2020:
The Anesthesia Interest Group hosted a panel of current fourth year students at UFCOM that matched into anesthesiology. The Class of 2020 had seven students who matched into anesthesiology with six matching at the University of Florida and one matching at Vanderbilt University. All seven students participated in the panel. During the discussion, these students discussed the final decision making process in choosing a specialty, the ERAS application itself, the competitiveness and expectations of anesthesia residency programs, and tips for interview day and choosing a program as well as their personal match experiences.
