Event held by SAFE – Scrubs Addressing the Firearm Epidemic on 10/13/2020:
SAFE met via Zoom to discuss the physician’s role in gun violence prevention. Dr. Hagen, an internist and our group supervisor, shared some highlights from the recent SAFE conference which had a focus this year on the intersection of gun violence with COVID-19 and systemic racism in America. Dr. Crandall, a trauma surgeon from UF Jacksonville, spoke about evidence-based firearm injury prevention.
