Please join us to hear from Dr. Petroze, assistant professor in pediatric surgery and assistant chair of Global Surgery within the Department of Surgery here at UF Shands. Dr.Petroze will be discussing what global surgery means to her and how she has become so involved in the field. She will share stories about her work in Rwanda in East Africa and her future directions to enhance the care for children across the globe. Dr. Petroze’s research, teaching, and advocacy focus on access to equitable care in underserved populations bothinternationally and domestically as well as patient and family-centered outcomes.
