Event held by APAMSA – Asian Pacific American Medical Student Association on 11/09/2021:
APAMSA and SPNIE worked together to host a panel addressing topics surrounding mental health and neurodiversity concerns within the Asian community. We were honored to host two Asian representatives from the psychiatry department, Dr. Takahiro Soda, and Dr. Uma Suryadevara, who kindly shared their time with us to discuss stigmas due to the COVID-19 pandemic, unique presentation of mental health/neurodiversity conditions in Asian patients, and unique family values in Asian families that can promote mental well being.
