What is the Purpose of the Event? UFCOM's "Medstock" is an annual battle-of-the-bands style event in downtown Gainesville in which each class in the College of Medicine is represented by a student band, each of which perform a live 30-minute set on stage at a local venue. All proceeds from admission sales benefit UFCOM volunteering efforts including the Equal Access Clinic and historically the UFCOM international mission trips.
What is the Benefit to the State, the university, and/or your organization? UFCOM is benefitted by fundraising efforts to support student endeavors helping the community, and the student body further benefits from an event calling for cooperation, creativity, and team-building.

Questions/Concerns
We aren't technically an MCC organization, but I'd like to know if it is possible to advertise the event on the MCC calendar to enhance outreach. We do not need any funding for the event.
