Welcome to the Pain Medicine Committee!

The Pain Medicine Committee, also known as the Pain And Interventional Neuromodulation Interest and Advocacy Club for Students (PAINIACS,) is to enhance student understanding and involvement in the field of pain management for students at UFCOM. Our goal is to provide exposure to this underrepresented, yet vital area of medicine. By promoting opportunities for students to actively engage within the field, this interest group serves as a space for learning, discussion, and collaboration. Students will have the unique opportunity to receive guidance and advice from experienced physicians in the field, further enriching our learning experience and professional development. Through interactions with both local and internationally recognized experts in the field, peer discussions, and hands-on clinical opportunities, we strive to cultivate a community of passionate students who have an interest in advancing in this medical specialty.

Committee Goals

  • To enhance understanding of pain management: To provide exposure to the field of pain management for interested medical students at UFCOM.
  • To foster involvement in pain management: To promote opportunities for UFCOM medical students to engage with and explore the field of pain management.
  • To facilitate learning and discussion: To serve as a space where students can ask questions, share insights, and deepen their knowledge about pain management with like-minded peers.
