Welcome to the ENT Interest Group!

The ENT interest group serves to promote interaction between medical students, ENT residents, and attending physicians. This allows students to gain a greater insight into the field of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery. We facilitate active medical student participation in surgery and clinical care under the guidance of UF residents and faculty.

Residencies & Fellowships

Most residencies are fully accredited programs that provide education and experience in surgery, inpatient and outpatient clinical care, basic sciences and research as relates to diseases of the head and neck. A typical ENT residency is five years with approximately a 60/40 split between surgical/clinical days. Most residents complete three-to-six months of research. Typically, residency programs accept between one and five residents per year.

There is the option to proceed to fellowship in a variety of subspecialties, including rhinology, facial plastics, pediatrics, laryngology, neurotology, and head and neck surgery.

Shadowing Opportunities

The UF ENT Department is eager to have students shadow them. Please contact ENT faculty or residents who you are interested in shadowing, and they make arrangements with you.
