Timeline: ~7-10 days to get approved from MCC. Submit SAR minimum 30 business days before travel –> Purchase things only when SAR approved –> take receipts to SG to get reimbursed after event
Using allocated SG Funds
Assuming you already have SG funds, Submit a SAR minimum 30 days before travel–> Purchase things only when SAR approved –> take receipts to SG to get reimbursed after event
**realize that you do not get reimbursed for things purchased before SG approves the SAR. For lunch meetings, if your event is on a Wednesday and you got approved Tuesday, this is okay because on Wednesday you buy your food. BUT for travel, you’re not going to buy your tickets/registration 20 days before the conference…so you need to be submitting well before the 30 day minimum so that you can purchase hotel/registration far enough in advance.
