Mission Statement

The Medical Genetics Interest Group aims to foster student interest and understanding of medical genetics by providing opportunities to explore the role of genetics in patient care, research, and emerging medical therapies. This group will connect medical students with physicians, researchers, and other professionals in the field through educational events, clinical and research discussions, ethics cases, and mentorship. We seek to highlight the growing importance of genetics across multiple specialties and educate students on medical genetics as a specialty.
