Welcome to the Immunology and Infectious Disease Interest Group!
We are excited to bring you this new group at UFCOM and to learn about immunology and infectious diseases together!
Our purpose is to spread awareness of the increasing prevalence of infectious diseases in clinical practice as well as the importance of understanding immunological conditions and their impact on patient care and management. We hope to provide educative events that illustrate how recognizing these groups of diseases can improve patient outcomes and health. These events include but are not limited to:
- Meetings to provide research opportunities
- Discussions about the different fields of medical immunology
- Introductions to emerging diseases that rising physicians should be aware of
- Case presentations to reinforce class material
