Event held by AIG – Anesthesiology Interest Group on 09/16/2019: This meeting featured Dr. Giordano, who spoke on the field of anesthesiology and pursuing a career within this field.

Dr. Yeung and two Radiation Oncology residents discussed the role of Radiation Oncology as part of the interdisciplinary approach to cancer treatment, the various treatment modalities, and what a typical day looks like for a resident and attending.

Dr. Brian Gelfand, Dr. Mark Rice, and Dr. Sylvain Doré introduced the residency program here at UF and talked about research opportunities with the Department of Anesthesiology. Dr. Sean Kiley, the AIG faculty adviser, also discussed shadowing opportunities.

AIG hosted it’s first meeting of the 2013-2014 academic year on August 26th. Dr. Sean Kiley, their faculty adviser, gave a brief presentation on opportunities for shadowing, workshops, working as an Anesthesia Tech, and future exciting talks from current faculty in the Department of Anesthesiology.
