APAMSA Meeting with Dr. Co-Vu

Event held by APAMSA – Asian Pacific American Medical Student Association on 12/22/2020: Dr. Co-Vu, a pediatric cardiologist, spoke about the representation of Asians/Asian-Americans in popular culture, the influence of stereotypes and the model minority myth, and how Asians/Asian-American physicians can contribute to the conversation on diversity.

Diversity Panel 2020

Event held by LMSA – Latino Medical Student Association on 02/06/2020: APAMSA, IMSA, LMSA, and SNMA hosted their second annual Diversity Panel with physicians from minority backgrounds. They spoke about their experiences interacting with their colleagues and patients, and their recommendations for becoming culturally-sensitive medical providers.
