What is the Purpose of the Event? To introduce the Hispanic American Medical Student Association (HAMSA) to the student body, and inform them about upcoming activities the organization has planned, which will include plenty of outreach opportunities in the form of health fairs, clothes drives, etc.
Additionally, a guest lecturer will be speaking about a current topic that is will enable medical students to become more familiar with the patient population and thus provide more focused medical care.
What is the Benefit to the State, the university, and/or your organization? To raise awareness regarding important issues in the Hispanic community and to foster the expansion of HAMSA.
