Purpose of Trip: The purpose of this trip is to expand the knowledge base of the Florida Wilderness and Environmental Medicine Interest Group (FWEM), and to network with other wilderness medicine interest groups within the Southeast United States. We are excited to learn how a wilderness conference with outdoor workshops is organized and carried out. We look forward to learning about low-resource medical procedures, further educational opportunities, and what the community of wilderness medicine has to offer the University of Florida College of Medicine.
