What is the Purpose of the Event? Our aim for the event is to raise community awareness, engagement, and donations for Puerto Rico relief. The following are tentative activities for the event:
*Drive through donation drop off
*Appearance by Albert and Alberta
*Salsa dance classes by Gator Salsa Club
*Music by the local Puerto Rican band Tropix
*Zumba dance classes
*Student poster health fair
*Talk by Puerto Rican Medical Students
*Food provided by Gonzalo Law
*Possible dunk tank and small outdoor games
Most of these will be donated
What is the Benefit to the State, the university, and/or your organization? The benefits of this event include the following:
* Collect physical supplies such as hygiene supplies for Puerto Rico relief
* Raise funds to buy three DIVVY water filtration systems. These systems are capable of providing 2500-6000 gallons of water a day, giving it the ability to provide water for an entire community.
