What is the Purpose of the Event? The purpose of this event is to partner one medical student in AMWA with one undergraduate student in uAMWA to help the undergraduate students learn how to suture. There will also be residents and attendings helping facilitate the event.

What is the Benefit to the State, the university, and/or your organization? Not only will the undergraduate student learn how to suture, but they will also be able to talk to medical students about any other questions they might have about applying to medical school, the interview process, or medical school in general. This will be a great benefit to the undergraduate AMWA to learn a new skill, get insight into the medical school experience, and hopefully form bonds with a medical student so they can reach out to them in the future with any other questions. This will benefit the medical students in AMWA through giving them an opportunity to teach a skill as well as be a mentor.
