On Monday, February 11th, the UFCOM Holistic Medicine Interest Group hosted two phenomenal occupational therapists for a lunch talk, during which they discussed the goals of occupational therapy and how this modality is utilized in the healthcare system. The importance of cultural sensitivity was also discussed as well as the importance of understanding what will best improve an individual patient’s quality of life through patient-centered care approaches.
