Event held by AMA – American Medical Association on 10/27/2021:
The student chapter of the American Medical Association (AMA) and the Immigrant Health Advocacy Interest group (IHAIG) hosted Alexis Pierce, a senior attorney within the AMA Division of Legislative Counsel. Ms. Pierce focuses on multiple areas of health law and policy in her role with the AMA, including immigration and maternal mortality, and she gave an interesting talk on the intersection of law and health at the border in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
