AMA General Body Meeting

Event held by AMA – American Medical Association on 05/24/2021: We answered general body questions about the AMA and examined possible initiatives such as Florida Voices for Health and Medicaid expansion.

Impairment & You

Our AMA chapter and the Office of Medical Education hosted a lunch talk about medical licensing, physician impairment, the Board of Medicine, and the Professionals Resource Network. The talk was let by fourth-year student Frank Walch, a student member of the PRN Board of Directors. 31 students were in attendance.

Pediatrics Halloween

7 of our student members made candy-free goodie bags for kids in the UF Health Pediatrics Unit. They also brought construction paper, crayons, stickers, glitter, etc. to help the kids make Halloween cards for their family and friends.

Light the Night Walk

Our AMA chapter organized UF COM participation in the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Light the Night Walk. This year 8 students walked, and our team raised $191 thanks to donations from students, faculty, family, and friends.
